Entrance is though K&K Dressmaking.All of our stock is shown by appointment - this policy includes the alteration department of K&K Dressmaking. When calling to book your appointment, please let us know how many people will be accompanying you. This is important due to our shop's capacity, and the amount of stock we have to show. Our appointments are designed to style and pamper each of our clients from head to toe. This also ensures that each bride, her attendants and mothers are given individual attention. Our showroom is intimate and private, allowing us to work one-on-one.
On Saturdays we are forced to limit our clients to 1 hour and 15 minute appointments due to demand. Walk-ins will be asked to make an appointment for the next available time. Unfortunately, if you arrive late (especially on Saturdays) that will only cut into your appointment time, limiting how many gowns you will be able to see and try-on.
It takes approximately an 1hr 15 minutes to 2 hours to show our individual collections properly. Please allow yourself enough time to enjoy the process.
Please keep in mind that we are in the heart of Chicago, and our traffic can get hectic - construction can back up our streets and expressways, not to mention Chicago events (sporting events, Taste of Chicago, Air & Water Show, music festivals, carnivals, etc) and of course, accidents. Knowing this, when pulling maps off of the internet, please do not trust the allotted time map sites have allocated, as they are approximate, and do not consider high traffic times. Allow enough time for travel, as arriving late will cut into your appointment time, especially on weekends.
One of the most important components to your experience at our store is our customer service. To make your experience as pleasant and comfortable as possible, we only book two brides and/or two bridal parties per hour. Because we limit the amount of business we take in order to service you properly, we do ask that if you have a hard time finding our location, are running late, or just can't make it to your appointment, PLEASE call us! We will be more than happy to help you with directions or re-schedule your appointment (if you are going to be 1/2 an hour late or more it will make sense to re-schedule your appointment as you won't have enough time to appropriately experience the vast amount of gowns we carry).
If you cannot see us for any reason during the appointment time you scheduled with our store, as common courtesy, please let us know at least an hour before so that we have the chance to fill that time slot and give other clients the same opportunity to take the appointment time you are unable to keep. Appointments are limited, especially during the evenings and on Saturdays, and we always have a wait list but we need to give those on the list time to get to our shop as well to fill the appointment time you can't make.
